| | ran a mile on my own and then met up with the team to run down to Hell Hole and i ran down to the river at the end of the trail and turned around. ran Hell Hill and then caught up with the girls. felt pretty swell until then and then had an awful side cramp for no reason at all. other than that- good run! |

yes i am blogging :) .......about 7 miles: well i did my work out today. ran a mile and half to the coral canyon hill, then did 6X90 second repeats. first 3 i ran up to a certain line on the road and then after that i was feeling too good so i pushed way past that line on the last three. then a mile and half back to school. one of the best runs iv had in a while. i felt excelent.
3 miles in the afternoon: girls are running a dang good pace this afternoon! then lifted a bit. i also did the leg weight lift thing that my doctor told me to do to prevent my quad injury again. yep my doc figured out what was wrong with it..... | |

7 in the morning- 2 miles on my own up into the desert then came back and ran 5 more with the guysb on the way out and ran back with the girls.
3 in the afternoon- ran from work to the running center. it was Really hot! |

| | about 2 miles on my own then i ran with the guys on their loop and a bit on the grass until my heel hurt too bad and i ran the rest on my own. |
| | finally got motivated to get up and go on a run. ran from the coral canyon pool to the coral canyon hill and did my hill work out. it was an okay work out didnt feel as great as last time but pushed hard. cool down on the dump road. |
| | i think i went 10. i dont really know cause my watch was dead. but i ran from my house over the coral canyon hill and then to the intersection by pizza hut and then ran back and over the coral canyon hill again and then ran past my house up to the other intersection by chevron and then back to my house. i kinda felt slow on this run but it was an alright run in the sun! |

canyon run! before heading out on the run we did stretching and drills. drills i enjoyed very much. they make me feel like im improving my form. then we left on our run- one mile warm up to zion bank. then from there it was timed 2 mile up the canyon. now going into this i thought it was going to be UP the canyon with hills. ( it was more like incline) so i expected it to be much harder. and then by the end of the 2 miles i felt like we had only gone a mile. so over all i feel like i could have done better. and then we finished up our mileage back to the school. |

6 miles again ran to bisentenial? park and stopped there for a while to do some strides to work on form. then finished the loop back to the school. still feeling great! |

we ran a cool loop today. first we ran to some grass and did 3 grass loops and soked our shoes. then finished the loop down a big hill and back to the school. it was a cool loop i really liked this run. |
| | 6 chill miles on the bisentenial park again. felt great still and then we went in the weight room today even though we didnt lift anything- but we learned what we'll be doing. i also have been doing some core excercises on my own like side and normal planks. love em! | |

time trial road race. 1 mile warm up. 4 miles for the race. felt pretty good for the race and took 10th. later in the day i ran home from freshman orientation to get my last mile |
| | chill longer run by myself after helping out at the high school meet. i had no idea where i was going just made it up so i was pretty much all over the place (in my pace too) |
| | no more sugar. didnt feel grand today. also i didnt know what we were supposed to be running exactly since i couldnt make it to practice with the team. so i kinda made it up. i ran a loop around the track and sped up the pace a bit (probly not as much as i was supposed to) until i got to some grass. then ran some hill repeats about 7 times. and then ran back to my house. my pace was kind of all over the place cause i got lost a couple times. | |
| | 6 real easy miles. i loved this run though. ran the 'dikes' run and talked a bunch with the girls and felt great. okay other then random sharp pains in my knee. i got those more in the weight room though. weights are also fun. my arms are gonna feel it tomorrow. |
| | well.... to be honest 4 miles is super short and i dont know how i feel about it. but im trusting in the work out. today was easy pace and we ran to bicentenial and then those who just ran 4 jumped in the back of the truck and we drove back and did some strides to work on form. | |
| | after finally ariving in pocatello idaho we ran through the course and then some till we hit our miles then did some starts of the starting line and strides to the finish. Got pumped for the race |
| | race today! 1 mile warm up and some starts before. Good begining race for me i felt cause it was a Super tough course but also super short. 1.8 miles i believe with down hill in the beginning and the end, but killer up hill the entire rest of the race. felt real good in the begining probably because it was surprisingly such a slow start at least compared to what i was told to expect. continued to do ok in the first part of the hills until i kinda lost it for a bit until i regained at the top of the last hill and ended pretty strong. then we did a mile cool down, down to the gas station where those of us that only had 4 stayed and stretched. |

great run today! parked at the high school and totally made up my own 6 mile loop. i found it was kinda harder to hit the pace when i run by myself but i think i did alright. but when i got back and found i had a bit more time so added on the DI run to get my last two miles. as i was coming back i got many surprised faces- made me happy :)
* side note that totally has to do with running: later at night, we took a trip out to this super special gas station in santa clara with these super special cookies we heard about from this super special coach! So....we kept that pinky promise and they were super tastey. sad though that we went at night so they were'nt fresh but still just as good as was said :) | |
| | got up early this morning to get my run done on my own before we went out the lake. going out i felt real sore and it was kinda hard but coming back i felt amazing. dont know whats up with that but i was glad. stretched real good after and then went to the lake :D | |
| | finally had a work out that i feel like i did good and i liked it. we started on the track with two laps at pretty much a jog. then once we hit the raod it was 80% for a loop around the coliseam and continued all the way to home depot. that part was the only part i struggled on. i hung with Kaylee C. most of the time and when i fell a bit back i still didnt let her get too far away. after the 80% we did whistle repeats. 15, 25, and 35 seconds. we didnt know what one we were doing so you just started and ended whenever coach whitled. rest on the run down to the bottom. Loved these. on a few of them i felt trapped behind some people but for the most part i felt fantastic. after my last one coach pulled me aside and told me that where ever i walk he wants me to turn my foot in. always and forever trying to fix that foot. after that most of us hopped in coach's truck and road back and finish our milage on the grass. |

3rd out of 4 speed work outs for the week. felt pretty swell. started with a mile warm up and 3 strides. the work out: 400 800 300 X2 with really long rests between because the speed was pretty darn fast. i stayed no more than 5 seconds behind the lead group the whole time. the Whole work out though coach houle was naggin me to fix my foot. it was harder during the speed but on the rest i work real hard at it. after the work out he told the whole team to hit me in the head if they see my foot flippin out :) im working hard at it though. |
| | 50% run today so it was pretty chill. we all had to test our virtical jump before we left though. i got 17.5 standing and 19 sitting. i was the highest sitting down too. dont know whats up with that. then we went out on our run up the canyon trail and back. small group of girls on this run but still fun. |
| | we did 4 X 1000's today. very weird 1000's though cause we did them on the terf. i felt fantastic and i stayed up with the top girls pretty well. all my times were really close too. after those we all went out on a run to finish up our mileage. | |
| | grass running! we all ran together and i felt amazing. it was a great run! we did 3 loops around the overpass grass (grass by the overpass) and then went over to the ex-baseball field grass (wear the old baseball fields were) and did 3 loops there and then we did left to the bicentenial loop and did one real small loop there before heading back to finish mileage. oh and did 10 strides on the overpass grass. |
| | pick ups today. those of us that aren't going to oregan did 9 while the others left to do their thing. but for me the pick ups were great. i stayed in the lead with layken and lizzy the whole time till the last one when i was on the outside and they all took off. but i still did the last one hard. then we went and finished mileage on a loop. the girls chatted a lot today it was fun. weights after were Really wierd today.( like trying to move a giant medicane ball around in the other person's arms while they tried to hug it and hold it still) Clayton said we looked like we were all trying to protect our pregnant tummies. it was super hard and fun. still took forever and a day but we didnt do as much. more stretching type things. |
| | 4 easy miles. turned out to only be me layken and lizzy so we ran up past cedar high school and a little loop around the neighborhood and then i had a mile that i did on my own when they left me at the high school to watch the race. i also ran a bit more with the girls on the warm up. great to see the old team! |

the Best run ever. i had slept in so the only time i had to run was the between the reliefe society broadcast and going to the bonfire. it was already dark when i was getting ready to leave so chandis made me take her pepper spray (i felt so powerful though) i ended up staying pretty much on campus cause i felt safer anyway. i started going up campus and then i ran down a long road through the neighborhood to cedar high and ran a mile around their track. then i ran back to campus and down to our track and did a mile. after that i did one last loop around campus and back home. i was a bit over my mileage but thats ok. i felt great the whole run- and it only took me an hour! |
| | 4 chill miles at 50% pace. we ran with all the girls today (all that could make it at that time) so it was super fun. the high light story of the run was about the new couple on the team. very interesting! then 10 strides at the end | |
| | terrible Terrible run! actually work out. i was so sick and could barely breath during the warm up drills. but i hate the thought of missing a work out so i talked my self into doing it. we did: 2 laps warm up, 4 laps 80% continued around the loop around the coliseum and up to zions bank. then the 2 mile canyon run as fast as you can. well i fell off pace on the third lap around the track but still pushed myself until zions bank. coughed a whole bunch there but once again talked myself into finishing the work out. but i was Way not where i was supposed to be. i think i came in second to last. when coach asked me what was wrong and i told him it was just cause i was sick (not cause i was hurting) he just told me that i should just tell him if im sick and i probably shouldnt have ran. oops- well im stubborn. but he had everyone be done for the day after that anyway, so we didnt do weights or finish our mileage, but we did sit in the river for our ice bath which was nice! |

50% easy and fun run. we were told to make it fun! Feeling tons better than yesterday but not all the way better yet. the first chunk of the run i felt like i was dragging myself but i could breath. it was up hill too. but the i adjusted. then we got to the Sheep Tunnels! reminded me of neon spider run. WAY cool. it was a super long tunnel but there were holes in the cieling so there was some light. but the ceiling was so low- i thought i was gonna hit my head. i felt better in the tunnle cause it was cooler and i was having fun. but we stopped at the end so people could put thier shoes back on (i was the only dumb one that kept mine on through the water at the end) and when we started running again i had a side cramp. i finally got feeling good on the run and the overpass with about a mile and a half to go. so it was a success in making it fun and i hope to be feeling better tomorrow and for the race. |

| | race day! i havent been that nervious for a race in a long time! but it was good cause i felt like i did pretty well. i dont know my time or anything but i was right behind lakyn and kaylee wasnt too far ahead of me. i felt so so good pretty much the whole time except the last time up the hill but then i still had a strong finish after that though. i got to race Ruth too. well kinda. once i caught her in the race and went to pass her she turned off and stopped. (injuries) well even though i felt like it was a good race im still ahve lots of room to improve. |
| | i ran at the marathon! SO much fun! first i ran 3 miles with stoner and mia and rachel H. to finish their mileage. we against the traffic and cheered at everone. then i added on a mile down the hill after our aid station and back. then i waited around until we found rachel H's dad and we ran with him for 2 mils. but we still wanted to run to the finish so we did! i had so much fun and i saw a ton of people that i knwo. by the time we got to the finish line i had finished my mileage so we couldnt run back and we didnt have a ride back so we walked the 4 miles back to the aid station! terrible idea but had fun anyway. | |
